Memorable Moments:

When MLB expanded in 1993, Maryland Baseball Limited Partnership (owner of the Frederick Keys and this team, which was located in Hagerstown) bid for a new AAA franchise in central Maryland. Although, they lost the bid, the idea of baseball in Bowie took off, and they moved the Hagerstown Suns across state to play here. Due to a complex land deal, the stadium wasn't ready in 1993, forcing the Baysox to play all of their games at Memorial Stadium, the former home of the Orioles, who then played in newly opened Camden Yards. Thanks to a harsh winter, the Baysox opened the 1994 season, homeless, and played their "home" games at the University of Maryland, the Naval Academy, Harry Grove Stadium, home of the Frederick Keys, and Frawley Stadium. home of the Blue Rocks home in Wilmington, Delaware.
