The Indians wanted to avoid Fairgrounds Park since sewer work was being done along the route to the park, limiting trolley access even further. The Indians started playing in a town adjacent to Lowell, but since trolley access was even worse here, the team moved back to the Fairgrounds. This park was primarily used for cricket.
