Euclid Beach Park | |||||||

Collinwood, OH
This park was used for two games when Sunday baseball was illegal due to blue laws. At the time of its use in 1898, Euclid Beach Park was located in Collinwood, OH, just 9 miles west of Cleveland. Since then it has been annexed into Cleveland. Anyway, in 1895 Euclid Beach was built as an amusement park. During the second game, June 19, 1898, it was the bottom of the eighth and the Spiders had just pushed across a run to make the score 4-3, but the police came and arrested all the Cleveland players. Cleveland won, but Euclid Beach lost Sunday baseball.
Euclid Beach was torn down and the site is now used for apartments.
