Memorable Moments:
Similar to a lot of the minor league parks built in the mid 1980s, this one uses a lot of metal bleacher seating, has no cover, and a very small scoreboard. I went to a day game here in April and it was hot and the sun beat down on you. I can't imagine a day game here in August. The concourse is tucked under the seats. This park is set far back in a parking lot, surrounded by youth baseball fields, all of which had games going on. I don't think this park will be used too much longer.
The Potomac Nationals franchise, which has been known as the Alexandria Dukes, Prince William Pirates, Yankees, and Cannons, and Potomac Cannons, has quite a notable alumni list. They include Barry Bonds, Mike Cameron, Magglio Ordonez, Jorge Posada, Bernie Williams, Andy Pettitte, Bobby Bonilla, and Albert Pujols.
